Trial Locations
A licensed Dealing involving an Intentional Release (
DIR) of a Genetically
Modified Organism (
GMO), identifies
GMOs grown at locations outside of
contained facilities. These locations can range from small areas under
limited and contained conditions, known as field trial sites, to large
commercial scale releases. Please note, only field trial site locations
are shown on these maps. When a dealing has been approved for commercial scale release the licence
holder is not required to provide details of the locations of the dealings
to the
OGTR. Further information on commercial scale releases is available
from
http://www.ogtr.gov.au/gmorec/ir.htm.
A full record of Dealings involving Intentional Release (
DIR) into the
environment is available on the
OGTR website. The
GMO Record provides
detailed information on the
GMO, licence holders,
GMO field trial site
locations and trial site licence conditions. You can find this information
at
http://www.ogtr.gov.au/gmorec/index.htm.
If you have any further questions relating to
GMO field trial site
locations or licence conditions please contact the
OGTR.
